The Hanwag Torsby GTX is a mid-height light hiking shoe for all male hikers who want to be light and fashionable during their outdoor activities. The Torsby is the ideal companion for light tours in the low mountain range, where you want to be able to count on comfortable and reliable material. The Torsby falls under the category A/B hiking boots. These shoes are slightly more flexible than category B walking shoes and somewhat firmer than category A walking shoes. The Torsby GTX is an ideal option, especially when you walk longer, but don’t want to wear too heavy shoes.

The combination of the grippy ‘Endurance Hike’ outsole, the waterproof Gore-Tex lining and the upper material made of high-quality suede and nubuck leather, is the ideal basis for relaxed trips into nature.

Material

suede

The outer material of the Torsby GTX is made of suede. Suede comes from the base of the animal hide. It has a velvety appearance and a soft feel. Suede can be waxed, but it can also be left untreated.

Nubuck leather

The outer material of the Torsby is also made of nubuck leather. Nubuck leather comes from the lightly sanded top layer of the animal hide. Sanding makes the leather feel softer, increases breathability and gives the leather a velvety appearance. Nubuck leather can be waxed, but it can also be left untreated. If you wax nubuck leather, it will become darker, smoother and shinier. When you spray nubuck leather with a spray containing wax, you treat this material in the best way.

GORE-TEX®

The Torsby GTX contains a GORE-TEX® membrane. The GORE-TEX® membrane ensures that these hiking boots are waterproof, but breathable. This keeps your feet dry while walking.

Insole

The Torsby GTX has a standard insole from Hanwag. This is a quick-drying, removable insole that contributes to extra comfort while walking. The Hanwag standard insole is also available separately in our store and on our website . We also sell custom insoles that provide additional support.

The outsole developed by Hanwag provides good grip and stability while walking. These soles ensure a good settlement of the foot. The profile of the sole has been developed in such a way that it gives a good grip and does not hold any mud or soil. The special profile on the toe and heel side provides more grip during ascent and descent. Thanks to the reinforcement in the midsole, the Endurance Hike provides good support for the feet.
