Polyamide, also called nylon, is a synthetic material made from petroleum. Polyamide is a strong fabric that does not tear or crease easily. It is light, elastic, easy to fold and dries quickly. A disadvantage of polyamide is that it does not absorb moisture well.
The Vaude JURA 18 is produced without the use of environmentally polluting fluorocarbons (PFCs). The use of PFCs in the textile finishing ensures that clothing becomes water, dirt and grease repellent. The Vaude JURA 18 uses an alternative finish without the use of PFCs. This makes the product water and dirt repellent. Only an oil-repellent effect cannot currently be achieved with a PFC-free finish.
