The Lowa Locarno GTX Lo Wide is suitable for walks in nature and in the city, but can also be used very well for daily activities. This walking shoe falls under category A walking shoes, which means that it is a light, flexible shoe. The shoes are very comfortable to wear and are therefore ideal to wear while traveling. The outer material of this shoe is made of Nubuck leather and mesh. The lining is made of 100% GORE-TEX® membrane. This walking shoe has a LOWA® HYBRID TRAC® sole that provides good grip during all your walks.

Materials

Nubuck leather

The outer material of the Locarno GTX is made of nubuck leather. Nubuck leather comes from the lightly sanded top layer of animal skin. Sanding makes the leather feel softer, increases breathability and gives the leather a velvety appearance. Nubuck leather can be waxed, but it can also be left untreated. Waxing nubuck leather will make it darker, smoother and shinier. When you spray nubuck leather with a spray containing wax, you treat this material in the best way.

 

Mesh

The outer material of the Locarno GTX made of mesh. Mesh is a synthetic material that is made in different shapes. The use of mesh makes the shoe light, flexible and highly breathable.

GORE-TEX®

The Locarno GTX contains a GORE- TEX® membrane. The GORE-TEX® membrane ensures that these hiking boots are waterproof, but remain breathable. This keeps your feet dry while walking.

Fit

The Locarno GTX has a wide last. The wide last is suitable for people for whom the standard fit in the front is too narrow. The wide last has a normal width on the heel side, but is slightly wider on the forefoot side. This prevents annoying pressure points from developing in walkers with wider feet.

Insole

The Locarno GTX has a removable insole from Lowa. This insole contributes to extra walking comfort and is also available separately in our store and on our website . We also sell custom insoles that provide extra support.

Outsole

The HYBRID TRAC® outsole developed by Lowa provides and ensures good grip and stability while walking. These soles ensure good movement of the foot. The profile of the sole has been developed in such a way that it provides good grip and does not retain mud or soil.
