Materials

Polyester

Polyester is a synthetic material made from petroleum. It is a durable, smooth fabric that is soft to the touch. In addition, it is lightweight, does not need to be ironed and dries quickly. A disadvantage of polyester is that it does not absorb moisture well and is not very warm.

Polyamide

Polyamide, also called nylon, is a synthetic material made from petroleum. Polyamide is a strong fabric that does not tear or crease easily. It is light, elastic, easy to fold and dries quickly. A disadvantage of polyamide is that it does not absorb moisture well.

PFC free

Jack Wolfskin’s Cold Bay Parka is produced without the use of environmentally hazardous fluorocarbons (PFCs). The use of PFCs in the textile finishing ensures that clothing becomes water, dirt and grease repellent. Jack Wolfskin ‘s Cold Bay Parka uses an alternative finish without the use of PFCs. This makes the product water and dirt repellent. Only an oil-repellent effect cannot currently be achieved with a PFC-free finish.
