The Trenchcoat Madonna is made of 100% nylon, this material is not waterproof in itself, but due to a coating on the inside, the jacket does not let water through. The seams of the jacket are taped, so that no water gets in here either. The jacket is lined with 100% cotton on the inside, which increases the wearing comfort of the jacket and prevents you from perspiring quickly.

The jacket is made to keep you as dry as possible. That is why, firstly, the hood of the jacket is adjustable and can be rolled up into the collar. In addition, there are wind catchers in the sleeves to keep out the cold and wet. Finally, the jacket has an extra intermediate piece that you can zip closed, this also keeps the legs dry.

Nylon (polyamide)

Nylon, also called polyamide, is a synthetic material made from petroleum. Nylon is a strong fabric that does not tear and crease easily. It is light, elastic, easy to fold and dries quickly. A disadvantage of nylon is that it does not absorb moisture well.

Cotton

Cotton is a natural material that comes from the cotton plant. The cotton fibers are spun into a yarn that is often used in clothing because of its durability, comfort and strength. In addition, cotton has good breathability and can easily absorb moisture. Cotton can discolour due to light and the stretchability of the fabric is limited.
