The Gritstone II Lady GTX is ideal for long walks. From walks in the woods to light hikes in the mountains, this hiking boot is a true all-rounder. This walking shoe falls under the category A/B walking shoes. Category A/B shoes are slightly more flexible than category B walking shoes and somewhat firmer than category A walking shoes. The Gritstone II is an ideal option, especially when you walk longer, but don’t want to wear too heavy shoes.

The outer material of the shoe is made of nubuck leather and synthetic material. The lining of the shoe consists of GORE-TEX. This membrane ensures that the shoe is 100% waterproof. The Vibram Ultragrip II outsole provides optimal grip and the insole of the shoe is removable.

Materials

Nubuck leather

The outer material of this hiking shoe is made of nubuck leather. Nubuck leather comes from the lightly sanded top layer of the animal hide. Sanding makes the leather feel softer, increases breathability and gives the leather a velvety appearance. Nubuck leather can be waxed, but it can also be left untreated. If you wax nubuck leather, it will become darker, smoother and shinier. When you spray nubuck leather with a spray containing wax, you treat this material in the best way.

GORE TEX

This hiking boot contains a GORE-TEX® membrane. The GORE-TEX® membrane ensures that these hiking boots are waterproof, but breathable. This keeps your feet dry while walking.

Insole

The Gritstone II Lady GTX has a standard insole from Hanwag. This is a quick-drying, removable insole that contributes to extra comfort while walking. The Hanwag standard insole is also available separately in our store and on our website . We also sell custom insoles that provide additional support.
